And now they’re paying the price to undo it all.
For a lot of SMEs, branding is the last thing they think they need.
- Strong operational processes,
- SEO at the top of the list,
- Consistent Google and Meta ads,
- Everything comes first before branding.
And yes, it’s been working really well for them.
But they soon realised that their brand has become a commodity in the market.
They’re stuck in price wars against the cheapest providers in the industry.
It’s a race to the bottom, one that no business owner wouldn’t ever want to put themselves in.
Few things I restructured ever since I onboarded them.
- We revised their current “generic” branding and made it more memorable
- We came up with a new brand identity, both online and on social media
- We keep their branding consistent across all their content in various platforms
- We build high quality brand library assets that they can use for a long time
Good branding takes time (and serious financial investments),
But it would serve your business so much better in the long run.
Once your business gets big enough, you would eventually need branding.
The difference is, the longer you wait, the more expensive it’s gonna cost to overhaul everything.
